An evocative artist's book from photographer Bill Jacobson, drawing together elegiac landscapes captured across Virginia, southern France, and Upstate New York (2018-2020) with figure studies shot in his East Village studio (2019). With 32 images, lovingly printed by Puritan Press in New Hampshire, handbound into two volumes; a third volume presents an original poem from Wayne Koestenbaum—when is a place (a playlet in multiple voices)— and a critical text from Marvin Heiferman on Jacobson's de-focused aesthetic. All elements housed in custom case.
