The Location of Three Points: Wall-Drawing (Manuscript Instructions and Preparatory Drawings).
Weston, MA: Project Inc., 1974. Three loose sheets (11 x 8.5 inches), comprised of two sheets of fine manuscript text (dated by LeWitt on 2/23/74) and two corresponding ballpoint sketches—one initialed and one SIGNED; a set of instructions composed in advance of the first installation of Wall Drawing 235 by Paul McMahon's Project Inc. in Weston, MA (May 24, 1974). These particular instructions—which ultimately generate a very simple wall drawing of three solitary points on a wall—being particularly algorithmic/sadistic; i.e. "The first point is located where two lines would cross if the first line were drawn from a point which is halfway between a point which is halfway between the center of the wall and the midpoint of the left side and a point which is halfway between the midpoint of the left side and the lower left corner to a point which is halfway..." A fine example; these instructions recognized by the Wall Drawings Catalogue Raisonné.
