[Mostly Germany], circa 1990s. An intriguing collection of 170 loose photographs captured by Hanne Darboven's personal photographer and assistant, Bernhard Berz. Includes images of Darboven's Hamburg home/Wunderkammer (33), her beloved goat Micky (12), installation views from various shows (50), reproductions of her notebooks (16), a set of promotional postcards from a 1997 exhibition (4), and a reproduction of a painting she executed at 16 years of age (dated 1957 and hand-numbered as 89/90). With a handful of photos featuring Darboven's manuscript annotations. Photographs in both color and black-and-white (ranging from 6 x 4 in. to 12 x 8 in.), with a few Polaroids and some duplicates; largely without flaw, save for some must. Accompanied by archival box illustrated with an image of Darboven and Micky. An insightful, behind-the-scenes view into Darboven's later practice.
