New York: The International Council Of the Museum of Modern Art, 1964. First Edition. Square octavo. Exhibition catalogue of a Josef Albers retrospective organized by the Museum of Modern Art, International Council, that traveled to 11 venues in Latin America and 11 venues in the United States. Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and color plates. Portuguese text with and introduction by the exhibition's curator, Kynaston McShine. Despite being printed in the United States, it appears the catalogue was destined for export to Brazil and perhaps never sold in America. OCLC locates no copies, and this particular example came directly from the collection of McShine. Light soiling to the covers, else near fine in yellow printed wrappers.
