Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How Many Thousands of Men and Women Have Recovered from Alcoholism (Signed First Edition).

New York: Works Publishing, 1942. First Edition. Third printing. Octavo. A fine presentation copy: SIGNED by the founder of AA, Bill Wilson, and inscribed: "To Dr. Lawrence Kolb - In grateful appreciation of his friendship - Bill Wilson 10/29/42". One of 5000 copies of this third print run, published in June 1942. Lawrence Kolb was the Assistant Surgeon General of the United States, and his primary professional focus was on the treatment of narcotics addicts. Minuscule closed tear to the cloth at the head of the spine, boards lightly rubbed and soiled; a very good copy in a bright and complete very good jacket, with a few small tears, minor chips, and creases. Early printings of the Big Book in nice jackets are notoriously uncommon, especially signed by Bill Wilson.
