New York: P.P.O.W., 1989. First Edition. Quarto. Stapled wrappers. 54 Xeroxed pages, 2 printed on yellow paper. Catalogue for Wojnarowicz's 1989 P.P.O.W. Gallery show of the same name, with an essay on the artist's work by Felix Guattari. A last-minute production, completed in the days leading up to the opening, with David reportedly typing out the text in a few hours. Without the budget for a glossy catalogue with higher production costs, this photocopy zine was created by the artist and then printed at a local copy shop. Copies were assembled by hand, in batches as they ran out. Wojnarowicz's texts for works in the show, preliminary and explanatory drawings, images of artworks in the show layered with handwritten commentary, and collages with newspaper articles and photo images are reproduced throughout. This copy with no rear cover (certainly an error of collation or omission- a new rear cover is provided separately in facsimile), else near fine in lightly toned printed wrappers. Tiny penciled number at the top of the front cover. Reportedly fewer than 100 copies were produced. Essentially nonexistent in commerce. Housed in a custom clamshell box.
