N.p.: Aperture, Inc., 1962. First Edition. Small square quarto. Frederick Sommer's first book, entirely designed by him. The scarce cloth edition of the first hardcover book ever published by Aperture, more commonly encountered in wrappers as issue 10:4 of Aperture Magazine. By some reputable accounts as few as 50 copies of the cloth edition were printed, although I think the number is closer to 200. (Roth 162-163). Very light foxing to the thin top edge of the text block, slight pulling at the head of the spine (a problem endemic to this title); near fine in white boards.
