New York: Eclipse, 1976. First Edition. Oblong folio. SIGNED by Labrot to title page. Underrated artist book by a photographer who worked more often in commercial jobs than a fine art context. Published same year as Eggleston's Guide, this technically innovative book uses an unusual color palette set on deep blacks that prefigures the graphic digital futurism of the 1980s. Labrot's experiments conjures images not unlike the photography of Lucas Samaras. The image and color laying processes anticipates the techniques and style of computer generated digital graphics. Close to near fine with abrasion to bottom of boards in a close to near fine jacket showing several small scratches to cover and edgewear.
