Untitled (Broken Main).
1951. 10 X 8 1/8 inch silver gelatin print, depicting a broken water main in front of a stopped trolley, at the intersection of Taylor and O'Farrell Streets in San Francisco. The print has been drawn on with white crayon across the recto, with two swathes of paint in the bottom corners. The photographer's name and the print's date have been stamped onto the verso, alongside other notations in pencil. Additionally, a newspaper clipping pertaining to the event has been adhered to the verso. Print in very good condition.
