[N.p.: n.p., 1966]. Unique Vietnam era photo album, featuring vernacular snapshots of an American officer's personal life in the city of Saigon. Comprises 64 3 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch black-and-white prints, with 2 additional prints in color, housed in a Polaroid "De Luxe Album" in individual cascading small-format sleeves. Images include portraits, party snapshots, and cityscapes of Saigon's crowded streets. The album's original owner has written brief descriptive captions for each print on three cardstock sheets separating the photograph sleeves. Impressive personal archive of an officer's experiences in wartime Vietnam, with scarce allusion to the conflict and its politics. Near fine in spiral-bound blind-stamped printed boards.
