Szarkowski's images of 1950s Minnesota in commemoration of the state's centennial anniversary (which provided a convenient excuse for a good photobook). Includes 179 black and white photographs and 24 color plates, with accompanying text by Szarkowski and others. Near fine in a good jacket, price-clipped, with a large chip from the rear panel and several other tears and smaller chips. Underrated book in the American canon.
