Includes an 11 X 8 1/2 inch promotional handbill for Sunn Amplifiers, three 18 X 24 inch silkscreen posters advertising Velvet Underground concerts, one 14 X 9 inch black-and-white photograph, signed and dated by Adam Ritchie, and three 11 X 11 inch color photographs of The Velvet Underground and Nico performing during Andy Warhol's multimedia event The Exploding Plastic Inevitable. All ephemera and photographs were reproduced or reprinted for the 2007 exhibition. The set also features the exhibition catalogue, housed in a card folder, with an 8 X 10 inch facsimile of a February 1966 announcement of Up-Tight at New York's Film-Makers Cinematheque, an 8 X 8 inch color photograph of the band, a CD, and a booklet reproducing the typescript of Lester Bangs' celebrated May 1971 Creem Magazine article on the Velvets. Catalogue is illustrated throughout with reproductions of vintage photographs, posters, handbills and magazine clippings, and includes texts by Richard Prince, Jon Savage, Jonathan Richmond, and William Gibson.
