New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1986. Deluxe Edition. Large quarto. One of 100 unnumbered copies issued in slipcase, presumably for Weber. SIGNED by Weber in the year of publication and briefly inscribed to a makeup artist he worked with, Bonnie Maller: "un grande abraço / to Bonnie / mjuch love / Bruce / Bruce Weber / 1986." Aside from a copy sold at Christie's London in 2011, I have only seen two copies of the deluxe edition. Weber's highly stylized paean to Rio: a jumbled mix of light reportage and high end fashion photography; with several gatefolds. (Roth 254-255). Small stain at the top of the spine, otherwise fine copy in photo-illustrated wrappers, very good photo-illustrated slipcase with rubbing at the corners and extremities, and a few stains.
