Despite the seemingly patriotic theme, Alvarez Bravo's chilling indictment of the government's actions prior to the Olympics is evident here. The image of the murdered worker, shot in 1934, is an obvious reference to the state killings of "criminals" that preceded the games. Dent to the top edge of the rear board, white boards lightly soiled; a near fine copy in photo-illustrated laminated boards as issued. Nice copy of a notoriously fragile book.
