Document of a gigantic engineering project, with 31 large mounted platinum photographs, each 9 1/2 X 11 1/4 inches; SIGNED in the negatives by the photographer, D.S. George, captioned in type. Riveting images of wild groups of workers moving and stacking rocks and masonry; reminiscent of the current work of Sebastião Salgado. Photographs show intermittent browning and offsetting; near fine in leather backed boards and edges, stamped in gilt on the cover.
